Horseshoe
Bay is a totally electric community with electricity furnished
by Pedernales Electric Cooperative
at a current rate of $90.00 per 1,000 KWH. This can range monthly.
TAXES and FEES
Due
to its location, Horseshoe Bay has property in both Burnet and
Llano Counties. This causes a slight variation in tax rates,
depending on where your lot is located in Horseshoe Bay. Burnet
County lots pay approximately $1.77 per $100.00 valuation;
Llano County lots pay approximately $1.92 per $100.00 valuation,
for tax year 2007.
Property
owners in Horseshoe Bay are assessed an annual maintenance fee;
again based on the location of the lot. For lots in Horseshoe
Bay West, the annual fee is currently $557.88, in Horseshoe
Bay proper the annual fee is currently $232.41, Applehead Highlands
$705.87 per year. The Applehead Island annual fee is $1,964.83,
a standby fee of $34.00 per year for utilities already in place
is the same for all lots.

Utility District services all of Horseshoe Bay. Furnishing
sewer, water, and garbage service. Some lots are not on sewer.
Water is $2.50/1,000 gallons from 5,000-10,000; $3.00/1,000 gallons from 10,001-20,000; $3.50/1000 gallons 20,001-40,000; $4.00/1000 gallons for over 40,001. The meter charge is $20.00. Sewer charges are a flat fee of $31.41 per
month, with garbage pickup at a flat fee of $16.78 per month.
In
order to take advantage of the world-class amenities available
at Horseshoe Bay, including the largest Robert
Trent Jones designed golf complex in the nation, 54 challenging
holes...Property owners may apply for membership in the Horseshoe
Bay Resort & Conference Center. There is no initiation fee
for the first and second property owners of property in good
standing. If property does not meet this criteria, then you
should check with the club personnel for additional fees. The
monthly dues are $555.00 for full membership. Rental carts are
available.
Anyone
